SLYK was created in 2018 after the Founder's life was turned upside down due to a medical nightmare. The mission at SLYK is to inspire others to follow their dreams and spread positivity and kindness through our wearable art. All our wooden sunglasses are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind and engraved with a special inspirational message. We are a small family run business and pride ourselves for having the most unique and sustainable eyewear on the market. Proceeds from every sale supports children's mental health and plants a tree. We craft our frames from recycled ebony, walnut, maple, and skateboard wood, giving new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. Each pair is handmade and one-of-a-kind.

SLYK Shades was launched in August 2018. Josh, the Founder, created this brand while recovering from a neurological illness that left him disabled and unable to continue his previous job as an accountant. He wanted to spread messages of hope and strength through his unique products and follow his dream of entrepreneurship,

Dreams began to start turning into reality. We had no idea if people would react in the way they did to our brand. We were blown away by the initial responses to our new ideas and began to grow rapidly. We also released watches to compliment our shades.
